The Tufts Department of Music and Tufts University Art Galleries are hosting experimental musician and exhibiting artist C. Spencer Yeh for his first Boston-area performance in a decade. Presented in conjunction with the current TUAG exhibition “Impossible Music,” Yeh will perform improvisations on violin, voice, and electronics in Distler Hall. One hour before the performance, TUAG will offer a curatorial tour of the Yeh’s installation “World of Music,” part of the “Impossible Music” exhibition, in the adjacent gallery in Aidekman Arts Center; both are on view through April 20. Yeh’s performance is presented in collaboration with Non-Event, a Boston-based concert series devoted to the presentation of the finest in experimental, abstract, improvised, and new music from New England and around the world.
