CACHE Annual Meeting
Thursday, May 23, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
FreeAll are invited to attend the eighth annual meeting of CACHE, the Coalition for Arts, Culture and a Healthy Economy in Medford. The featured speaker will be Miranda Aisling, an inspiring and engaging community arts organizer and founder of Miranda’s Hearth. Author of Don’t Make Art, Just Make Something, Miranda is currently in the process of developing a plan to repurpose a former school in Beverly into an arts center that will feature private and shared creative work spaces, community art programming, and access to a multitude of community spaces.
Miranda’s talk will explore the multi-year process she has undertaken to create an arts center, information that will be valuable to Medford’s own arts community’s desire to do the same with city-owned property.
CACHE’s Directors and Officers will also be elected at the meeting. Please RSVP via Eventbrite to assist with planning.
CACHE is a nonprofit organization made up of a coalition of over 20 different cultural institutions in Medford who collectively advocate for the arts in Medford and work together to make the community more vibrant through events, projects, and collaborations with local businesses. It was founded in 2010 as a way to bring the diverse cultural organizations of Medford together to discuss the state of the arts in Medford, share experiences, and network. Today, CACHE is behind two main events in Medford: Circle the Square, a summer street festival held in Medford Square; and the Mystic River Celebration, a free fall arts festival at the Condon Shell featuring live music, artist vendors, local food, public art, and activities for all ages.
