The Medford Chess Club invites you to its weekly meet-up in Medford Square, taking place today in the second-floor gallery at the Charlotte & William Bloomberg Medford Public Library. The club has chess sets, chess clocks, and helpful members who are willing to teach you the rules if you’re new to the game. Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome, but those under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult or mature older sibling. There are no membership dues or fees to play. Visit the club’s Facebook group for updates. The Medford Chess Club is organized by Medford residents and led by Jack Elsey.

Also, please note that since the library will be closed on Saturday afternoons during July and August, the club’s meeting time will change to 10 a.m. to noon for those months.
