The Medford Chess Club invites you to its weekly meet-up in Medford Square, taking place in the second-floor gallery at the library. Please note the earlier than usual time of 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., due to the library closing at 1 p.m. on Saturdays through August 24. The club has chess sets, chess clocks, and helpful members to teach you the rules if you’re new to the game. Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome, but those under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult or mature older sibling. There are no membership dues or fees to play.
