The Medford Chess Club invites you to drop by the Riverside Avenue Plaza in Medford Square for a friendly game of chess. The club has chess sets, chess clocks, and helpful members who are willing to teach you the rules if you’re new to the game. There are no membership dues or fees to play.  If the weather is rainy or cold, the club will meet at the Charlotte & William Bloomberg Medford Public Library at 111 High Street.

The Medford Chess Club is organized by Medford residents and led by Jack Elsey. It formed in 2018 to develop an awareness for chess in the new Riverside Plaza through Chess on the Plaza, lessons, friendships and local tournaments.
