The Chevalier Summer Concert Series returns to the Condon Band Shell this year with three free performances, on June 14, July 12 and August 16, at the conclusion of the weekly Medford Farmers Market.

The opening concert features a rare solo performance by acoustic guitar virtuoso Shun Ng, who dazzled the audience in an OnStage! Concert Series performance at Chevalier Theatre in February 2017. Born in Chicago and raised in Singapore, Boston-based Shun Ng is an award-winning fingerstyle guitarist, vocalist and acclaimed international performer. Known for his unique and virtuosic style which infuses elements of Soul, Funk, Blues and Jazz, Shun dazzles audiences from all over the world with his flamboyant technique, soulful vocals and hypnotic groove. Today, he stands as one of the most dynamic and innovative performers, winning accolades from legendary producer, Quincy Jones to fellow fingerstyle virtuoso, Tuck Andress.

Grab dinner at the Medford Farmers Market, taking place at the Condon Shell Park from 3 to 7 p.m., or bring your own food, a blanket and enjoy great music along the banks of the Mystic River!

The other concerts in the series will feature Julie Rhodes and her band (July 12) and The MastaDonis Project featuring Adonis Martin (August 16).

The concerts are being presented by the Chevalier Auditorium Commission with the support of Bill Blumenreich Presents (the Chevalier Theatre operator) and the Friends of Chevalier Auditorium and Gene Mack Gym.
