The Chevalier Theatre Organ Society cordially invites you to its 2019 Annual Meeting. The program will include a short business meeting, including a financial report and the election of officers and board for 2020; a presentation on the history of the Chevalier Wurlitzer organ and a recap of the installation work completed over the past 12 months; an outline on the remaining steps to complete the installation; an optional visit to the newly painted organ chamber to see the latest work.
Note: Entry will be through the green, dressing room level doors at the back left of the building (parking lot side). Look for the Annual Meeting signs. The meeting is open to members and non-members of CTOS.
The City of Medford’s Chevalier Theatre owns one of New England’s rare Mighty Wurlitzer theatre pipe organs, a 1922 model saved from the wrecking ball at a Dayton, Ohio, theater and donated by the Maine chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society. The nonprofit Chevalier Theatre Organ Society was formed in 2002 to restore, install, and maintain the Wurlitzer, and to raise all necessary funds. Once operating, the organ will be used for concerts, silent movie accompaniment, educational programs, and enhancing other entertainment
