The Medford Recreation Department introduces a new program, Cinema Kidz, and an eight-week course on music video production for kids in grades 1 to 4. Participants will become art directors, cinematographers, movie stars and dancers as they plan, storyboard, film, and finally edit their very own music video. Children will utilize professional filmmaking equipment, and dive into art direction as they create costumes and props for the video. Students will work with a choreographer to plan visuals and make up their very own moves. Participants will learn how to create unique moods as they experiment with using lights, gels, various camera lenses, and more. Children also have the opportunity to create an original song and/or lyrics. The class will meet from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturdays from November 30 through January 18. Cost is $288 for Medford residents, $320 for non-residents. Register through the Medford Recreation website.
