This year the Medford Public Library’s Classic Book Group is being led by members of the library staff and focuses on 20th century Southern writers. The schedule of meetings continues this month with The Optimist’s Daughter by Eudora Welty.

Future meeting dates (all Wednesdays at 7 p.m.) and titles are:

January 16: Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston

February 20: The Member of the Wedding by Carson McCullers

March 20: Wise Blood by Flannery O’Connor

April 17: Fried Green Tomatoes by Fannie Flagg

May 15: A Summons to Memphis by Peter Taylor
