The Medford Public Library’s art exhibit for June will feature works by Medford artist Sophie Glikson Cahen titled “Kindred Spirited Animals.” Sophie began painting in 1982 when she moved from Paris to Boston to study Expressive Arts Therapy; she earned a Master of Arts degree in that area from Lesley University in 1984 and offers Expressive Arts Therapy and Creative Life Coaching in her Medford studio. This show is to honor the significant presence of animals with whom we interconnect on Earth. The exhibition will be on view in the library’s second-floor gallery during regular hours. A reception with the artist will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday June 8.
