Sanctuary United Church of Christ and Hillside Community Church present another edition of their Faith and Film series program featuring the movie “American Fiction,” Cord Jefferson’s hilarious directorial debut, which confronts our culture’s obsession with reducing people to outrageous stereotypes. All will watch the film (1 hour, 57 minutes), with a Faith and Film discussion to follow. Those who cannot attend in person are invited to watch the film at home on Amazon Prime, then join the discussion at 7:15 p.m. via Zoom (link available on the event page).

Sanctuary UCC began its Faith and Film series in 2016 to explore the places where pop culture meets faith. Attendees watch a current film, followed by a discussion about themes of morality, faith, and humanity led by local theologians and community leaders.
