Friends of the Middlesex Fells and EarthWise Aware present an outdoor sketching event starting at Bellevue Pond on South Border Road. The series teaches how to create, illustrate and maintain a Naturalist & Field journal. This includes practicing sketching, nature illustration skills and recording field observations.

The Fells Naturalists & Sketchers Circle runs twice a month, and in winter participants hike and sketch to avoid getting cold while sketching. Over the year, the series explores various sites in the Fells and covers forest ecology, phenology, birds, mammals, and the many critters that make the different habitats of the Fells.
