“STAIN,” a short play by Medford playwright Laura Olifiers, is being presented online as part of the Playwrights’ Platform 48th Festival of New Plays. In “STAIN,” on the eve of Allison’s wedding her two sisters, Liz and Sarah, discover a stain on her wedding dress.  Their responses to it reveal deeper truths about their family dynamic and personal relationships. Directed by Kelly Smith, the play features actors Adriana Alvarez as Allison, Alissa Cordeiro as Liz, Meredith Saran as Sarah, and Mary Ferrara as Connie.

This is a free event; the 48th Festival of New Plays encourages audience members to donate to the NAACP Boston Branch, Black Lives Matter Boston, Massachusetts Bail Fund, Black and Pink or Violence In Boston Inc. It is the organization’s hope that continued support for these organizations, combined with a continuation of the arts, will not only help our nation heal, but will lead us to a better place, where all of our citizens are treated equally, where democracy is truly democracy.
