Free

The McGlynn Middle School Parent Teacher Organization invites middle school students and their families to a free presentation of the award-winning film “Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age.”  Through poignant and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, “Screenagers” reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower kids to best navigate the digital world and find balance.

This gripping documentary has been viewed by more than 4 million people in 70 countries around the world and sparking some great conversation among communities on the impact that excessive tech time has on young people. It is the hope of the Medford presenters that we can come together as a community to discuss ways to help our young people achieve a healthier balance with their use of technology.

The film is less than an hour in length and will be followed by a brief panel discussion led by the McGlynn Middle School administrative team.
