Sanctuary United Church of Christ, in partnership with The Crystal Lens Experience, inaugurates the Second Sunday Super Film Series with a discussion of the 2016 film “Hidden Figures,” which tells the story of three female African American mathematicians who were key contributors at NASA during the Space Race. Watch the film ahead of time (available on Disney+ or Hulu) and come prepared to discuss nuances of the Black experience as depicted in the film. Hosted by Crystal Chandler, an activist, media producer, educator, and founder of The Crystal Lens Productions.
