Postponed: Finding My Medford Roots: Patricia Saunders

FreeThe Medford Historical Society & Museum has postponed the talk by Patricia Saunders, “Finding My Medford Roots.” A new date will be announced. Saunders was born in Boston and grew up in Medford. Through extensive ancestry research she was able to find relatives she never knew she had, including her maternal grandparents Edward H. and Maria Larkin. Born in Boston, Edward Larkin was the 10th mayor of Medford (1927-1931). While working as an agent for the Railway Express at Boston’s South Station, he met Mary Agnes Dyer, who was born in Medford in 1871. Saunders will speak of her journey grandparents’ journey, how they lived and died, and the hardships they endured. Saunders, a photographer, was one of the founding members of Medford Arts Center, Inc., now known as ArtsMedford. She currently lives in Tewksbury. Saunders authored the book “Medford, Then and Now” (2005) and co-authored “Medford Through Time” (2016).
