The West Medford Community Center presents “Freedom’s Light: A Juneteenth Journey,” a community celebration on the federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of American slaves in the last Confederate territory of the U.S. on June 19, 1865 in Galveston, Texas. There will be poetry by Medford poet laureate Terry E. Carter and music by international recording artist and former Berklee College of Music voice professor Donna McElroy. Seating is limited; masks are recommended.
