Friends of Chevalier Auditorium and Gene Mack Gym is holding its Annual Meeting on the 100th anniversary of Medford Navy officer Godfrey Chevalier making U.S. aviation history by becoming the first American to land a plane on a moving ship. The meeting will feature a special talk on Godfrey by Medford historian Dee Morris, plus updates from Chevalier Theatre operator Bill Blumenreich Presents; and the Mystic Valley YMCA/Medford Youth Center and Medford Recreation Department, which operate in Gene Mack Gym. The public is welcome to attend, free of charge, but only Friends of Chevalier members may vote for election of the 2023 board of directors.
