Friends of Chevalier Auditorium & Gene Mack Gym invites you to help celebrate the organization’s three decades of supporting Medford’s arts and youth at its 30th Annual Meeting. Hear from some of the nonprofit’s  founding members about their determined efforts to transform the city’s neglected theater and gym into the thriving arts and recreation/youth center our community enjoys today.

The meeting will also feature updates from Chevalier Theatre operator Bill Blumenreich Presents, and the Mystic Valley YMCA/Medford Youth Center and Medford Recreation Department, which operate in Gene Mack Gym. The public is welcome to attend, free of charge, but only Friends of Chevalier members may vote for election of the 2024 board of directors, which will take place during the business portion of the meeting. Formed in 1993, Friends of Chevalier Auditorium and Gene Mack Gym is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to fostering financial and community support for the City of Medford’s historic theatre and gym on Forest Street in Medford Square. By promoting arts and cultural, civic, youth and recreation programs, the Friends strive to enrich the quality of life in Medford.
