The Medford Public Library presents a Graphic Novel Workshop for kids age 8 to 12 led by National Book Award finalist Jarrett J. Krosoczka, author of the popular “Lunch Lady” series. How do you organize visual ideas to tell a story? What’s the difference between a word balloon and a thought bubble? What are gutters and panels? The graphic novel format will be broken down, and participants will gain a deeper understanding of storytelling through comics. Krosoczka will also share tips to avoid the pitfalls that young cartoonists often fall into. Registration is required through the library’s online calendar.
