Boston Brow Studio on Salem Street is hosting a Galentine’s Day-themed Intro to Brush Lettering Workshop led by Becca Joas of Becca Joas Calligraphy + Design.

This will be a two-hour workshop of both instruction and demonstration. Becca will go over the basics of brush lettering with a watercolor brush and ink, including hand positioning and the amount of pressure required to get varying stroke thicknesses in your lettering. She will also cover warm-up and practice drills, the alphabet, the fundamentals of connecting letters to form words, and you’ll work on your very own project: a valentine, either for you to keep, or give to your gal friends or significant other.

All supplies are included, as well as a booklet/guide to take home with you. Becca will also review different materials and tools that can be used. This workshop is appropriate for ages 13 and up. No previous lettering experience is required.
