The third Friday of the month means it’s soul music night at The Porch featuring Jonathan Gramling. Co-founder of critically acclaimed Afropolitan band Soulfège, Gramling has performed on four continents, in 44 states, D.C. and Puerto Rico in a variety of languages and genres. His deep interest in discovering the roots of soul music around the world has allowed him to share the stage with many artists, notably Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas, Bobby McFerrin, Oumo Sangare, Arrested Development, Rocky Dawuni, Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics and more. You can see him in and around the Boston area regularly with his bands Ghetto People Band, hi-fi Monk, and The Foundation Movement, with his special jam-based project GramJam, or as a featured performer with East Coast Soul.
