Ebisuya Japanese Market invites you to “Journey to Japan,” a Summer Kimono Dressing Lesson and Japanese Tea with Seiko Kitagawa and Ara Mahar. Participants will be dressed in a beautiful Yukata (summer kimono) and complete an Obi tying lesson, all will sit on Japanese Tatami mats and enjoy a Matcha Tea experience. Ebisuya will offer wagashi sweets followed by a bowl of top-grade matcha, Oku-Midori from the Uji region of Kyoto.

There will two lessons — at 1 p.m. in Japanese and at 3 p.m. in English — with each limited to three participants. Cost is $50 for the dressing lesson and $10 for the tea and sweets. Audience participation by donation.
