First Baptist Church of Medford begins its 2019 concert season with a performance by pianist Lana Suran. Since her debut at Gothenburg Concerthouse at age 8, Suran has appeared as soloist and with numerous orchestras in Sweden and abroad, among many other international venues. She has performed in Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, Symphony Hall, Jordan Hall, all major concert halls in Sweden, and many other international venues. Her first CD was released in 2017 and includes solo works by Sergej Rachmaninoff and piano concerto No. 2 by Shostakovich with Dalasinfoniettan and Daniel Blendulf.

Suran will perform works by Bach, Haydn, Scriabin, Rachmaninoff and Chopin.

Free admission; suggested donation $10.
