WGBH is coming to the Medford Public Library to test out a new pop-up playtime program based on its show “Work It Out Wombats!” Staff will bring a variety of activities best suited to kids ages 3 to 6, and they would love to have you stop by and try them out. This is a drop-in program, so no need to pre-register and no pressure to stay the entire time.

Please note that this is a test of the program, so WGBH staff will be observing as families move about the space and try different activities. They may also ask grown-ups to fill out a survey to get some feedback on how they can make the event even better.

“Work It Out Wombats” debuted earlier this year. The animated series for children ages 3 to 6 demonstrate computational thinking (CT) for preschoolers, a way of thinking that enables them to solve problems, express themselves, and accomplish tasks using the practices, processes and ideas at the core of computer science.
