Join the Medford Arts Resource Vehicle (MARV) and Medford Recreation for some fun outdoor crafts and activities for children ages 2 to 6 at Wright’s Pond. Each class will include a treasure hike on the Wright’s Pond Trail. Upon returning from the hike, participants will receive a small snack, then MARV staff will lead a craft activity. All activities are designed to include participation from a parent/guardian along with assistance from the Medford Senior Center.

Today, the activity is Stone Painting. Take a walk in the woods and find your own special stones. (Hint: They are hidden on the path and will have your group’s name on the package!) When you find your package, collect it and bring it back to MARV, then you can paint and decorate your stone. You can write your own message or paint/draw a decoration. When you’ve finished, you can use your stone as a paperweight, or put it on a windowsill as a small piece of art!

The final MARV at Wright’s Pond class will be on Monday, October 22 (Leaf Art) from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Cost is $8. Register on the Medford Recreation website.
