The Matt Swanton Band, a 2023 International Blues Challenge semifinalist, returns to The Porch with their down ‘n’ dirty blues plus a special guest — the up-and-coming blues man Dylan Schouten. Swanton, a native of Shirley, Massachusetts, shared the stage with the likes of Mike Zito, Albert Castiglia, Papa Chubby and Ronnie Earl before forming his own band. Schouten is a 22-year-old blues guitarist and vocalist who has been playing since age 7. He’s inspired by the playing of Mike McCready, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Jimi Hendrix and has more recently dived into older blues like Taj Mahal and B.B. King.
