The Medford Family Network begins its series of seven outdoor concerts by presenting Alastair Moock with friends at Wright’s Pond. Join Alastair for music, sing-a-longs, movement and dance.  Children’s activities will take place from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by the concert from 6 to 7 p.m. Please bring a blanket and pack a picnic. Alternatively, Friends of the Medford Network is offering pre-order sales of pizza, chicken tenders and salad from For Pizza. Food must be ordered through the FMFN website by 2 p.m.; it will be delivered to Wright’s Pond at about 5:15 p.m. And at the concert, Colleen’s will be selling ice cream, cookies and ice pops.

For families who do not have a Wright’s Pond pass, please park at the Flynn Rink, 300 Elm Street. A trolley bus will provide continuous shuttle service to and from Wright’s Pond from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Additional concerts on Tuesdays this month in the Wright’s Pond portion of the schedule will feature Vanessa Trien and the Jumping Monkeys on July 16, Spanish Fun with Esther Gomez on July 23, and Matt Heaton and the Outside Toys on July 30. The concert series shifts to the Condon Band Shell in August, presenting Lindsay Munroe on August 13, Coywolf Johnson on August 20, and Ben Rudnick and Friends on August 27.
