The Medford Farmers Market opens its 16th season and its seventh year at the Condon Band Shell Park on Mystic Valley Parkway. Opening Day will feature 25 vendors, including artisans Beads by Beardslee, Landy’s Diversity Candles & Gift Baskets, Elzire’s Acre, Trove Green Provisions, Justin’s Woodshop, and Henna Inspired. Today’s live music, a weekly market feature, will be by jazz pianist Jonathan Fagan from 3 to 5 p.m., followed the Americana and bluegrass band The Incorrigibles from 5 to 7 p.m.  The Medford Family Network’s Miss Retta will lead fun family activities and distribute free books.

The market will take place at the Condon Shell from 3 to 7 p.m. every Thursday through October 12.
