Day Two of the first Medford Jazz Festival features a performance by the Jacques Schwarz-Bart Quintet at 7 p.m. A native of Guadaloupe now living in Medford, Schwarz-Bart is an accomplished jazz saxophonist (his eighth album comes out this fall) and an associate professor at Berklee College of Music in Boston.

Remaining Festival performances are by the Jim Repa Quintet at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 31; by Kevin Harris and Steve Langone at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 1; and by Medford clarinetist Glenn Dickson at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 2.

The Festival is a five-day event showcasing the cultural diversity, creativity, and talent of local musicians through several virtual concerts, masterclasses, and interviews. It celebrates the range of musical perspectives that have always existed within the vibrant neighborhoods of the city, simultaneously focusing on the social injustices that continue to divide the entire country.
