The Medford Jazz Festival, which made its debut in 2020, kicks off a new series of monthly outreach concerts as organizers continue to foster relationships as musicians, artists and change agents leading up to this year’s second annual festival. Tonight, MJF founder, music educator and pianist Jonathan Fagan and newly appointed Medford poet laureate Terry E. Carter reprise some of the magic from the Ally Project of last year’s festival, using the intersection of jazz and poetry to probe issues of social justice, diversity, equity and inclusion.
