Three legendary Boston bands — Muck & the Mires, The Dogmatics, and Stop Calling Me Frank — converge at The Porch Southern Fare & Juke Joint at River’s Edge. Muck & the Mires, once described as “a mix of the 1964 Beatles and The Ramones,” still feature founding members Muck, Jesie Best, and Pedro Mire. The Dogmatics, a garange band formed by Dorchester pals in the 1980s, now are led by brothers Johnny and Jimmy O’Halloran. Stop Calling Me Frank’s heyday came at the revered punk rock club The Rat in Kenmore Square.
