Mystic Makerspace: Quilled Pendants
Wednesday, January 20, 2021 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
FreeSo you’ve tried basic paper quilling . . . what’s next? Join Jerusha Achterberg of the Mystic Makerspace to create a quilled pendant made entirely from paper! Jersuha will talk about the challenges specific to quilling jewelry, and discuss potential options for sealing your work.
In addition to basic quilling supplies (needle or slotted tool, scissors, glue, tweezers) you’ll need to have some circular forms to use as moulds. These can be things you have around the house — a pen, a marker, a prescription bottle or a cardboard toilet paper tube. Quilled jewelry doesn’t require much quilling paper! You’ll need several strips of 1/8 inch (3 mm) quilling paper in each of one to four colors of your choice. If needed, you can purchase paper at most art/craft stores, or online (for example: https://tinyurl.com/y4e5pl3s.
This class, for ages 16 and over, is free, but registration is required to get the Zoom link for the event: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/quilling-pendants-tickets-135792483975
