National Night Out
Tuesday, August 6 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
FreeFor the third year in a row, the Medford Police Department is joining thousands of police departments across the country in presenting National Night Out, an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
Among the night’s many activities will be performances by the Medford youth musical theater organization Spotlight Productions at 5:50 p.m. and by dancers from Jody’s School of Dance at 6:15 p.m. There also will be face painting by students from the Medford Vocational-Technical High School’s cosmetology program, and activities from the Medford Family Network. Pop singer-songwriter Shalyah Fearing will sing the national anthem. Visit the Facebook event for a complete list of vendors and activities.
