The Medford High School Marching Band is hosting the first show of the New England Scholastic Band Association (NESBA) marching band competition season. There will be 17 high school marching bands competing: Joseph Case (Swansea), King Philip Regional (Wrentham), Everett, Lowell, Lunenburg, Medford, New Bedford, New Hartford, Norwood, Oakmont-Overlook (Ashburnham), Plymouth, David Prouty (Spencer), Randolph, Reading, Salem, Shepherd Hill Regional (Dudley) and Wakefield.

Medford’s band will perform at 7:15 p.m. The performance time for each band can be found on the event schedule.

There also will be exhibition performances by college bands, including Boston College.

Admission prices, as set by NESBA, are $10 for adults and $8 for students. Children 5 and younger are admitted free.

All proceeds support the Medford High Marching Band.
