For the first time, Friends of the Medford Family Network is holding its annual fundraising gala outdoors, at Wright’s Pond. “Night Under 10,000 Lights” will be an adults-night-out event featuring food catered by Simple Fare, music and dancing with the Mancini Project, as well as raffles, gift bags and auction, all in support of the Medford Family Network. Tickets are $50 (general) and $100 (VIP). Order through the event web page. Rain date is Sunday, September 11.

Also, in conjunction with this event, the Medford Recreation Department is hosting “Parents Night Out!” in the Gene Mack Gym for children ages 5 to 10 from 6 to 10 p.m. Recreation staff will have a series of games in the gym and an art project in the Art Room. Pizza will be served for dinner. Cost is $25 for residents and $40 for non-residents. Register through the Medford Recreation website.
