Arts Collaborative Medford invites you to a free open weave session hosted by renowned basketmaker Lois Russell, one of the featured artists in ACM’s current exhibition, “The Threads That Tie Us.” Join, watch, or converse with area basketmakers in ACM’s first-floor gallery space. All are welcome. Lois Russell has been making baskets since 1988. Her work has evolved as she has explored traditions and techniques — it ranges from traditional baskets to playful sculptural pieces. She recently was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Basketry Organization.
