The First Baptist Church of Medford continues its winter/spring concert series with PassionFlower: American Art Songs. Classical mezzo soprano and jazz singer Rebecca Shrimpton and pianist Herman Weiss will present art songs including works by Charles Ives, William Bolcom, Florence Price and Paul Bowles, interwoven with the exquisite, classically influenced “tone poems” of jazz masters, Billy Strayhorn and Duke Ellington. Free admission; suggested donation of $15, with all contributions going to the artists.
