Have you ever wanted to publish your novel or memoir, but wondered about how to move beyond informal writings, blogs and Facebook postings?

Rick Todhunter, a Medford resident and senior editor for Hackett Publishing Co., one of the premier publishers of works in the humanities, will speak about how to navigate the modern publishing world. Topics will include the traditional publishers; the self-publishing route; dealing with Amazon; and the advent of e-books.

The session, part of the library’s monthly Writers’ Group session, will include a presentation along with a question-and-answer session.

Rick Todhunter has 22 years of experience in publishing, and can speak knowledgeably about the craft of acquiring, developing, designing, printing, and effectively marketing a book. He also tracks general key trends and changes in the broader industry.
