Tufts Hillel sponsors “Read by the River,” a campus-wide initiative that celebrates the love of books and reading with a literacy carnival featuring fun reading-related activities. Tufts University students work throughout the year to plan the event, which welcomes 1,200 local children in grades K through 5 and their families. There will be about 25 different arts and crafts booths, a performance by Tufts’ own BEATS, and a visit by a New England Patriots player. Admission is free and snack food is provided.
