Howe Creative Studio & Gallery presents a reception featuring the artists whose work is featured in the exhibit “Women Rising.” Co-sponsored by the Zonta Club of Medford, the exhibit celebrates the centennial of Zonta International. It features work that represents Zonta’s work over the last 100 years to end violence against women and girls, to provide better access to health care, and to empower women through education. Helping women create better lives for themselves and their families has been and continues to be the goal of Zonta, through its work internationally in connection to the United Nations and locally through advocacy projects.

Participating artists are Adedoba Afolab, Carlos Agzaga, Dolly Arjun, Tracy Bailer, Lori Del Genis, Chris Howe, Sandy Felder, April Jakubec, Paulina MacNeil, Jaspreet Mahal, Allison Rabin and Diana Sironi.

The exhibit is dedicated to the late Dorothy Emerson, a relentless advocate for human and civil rights.

Exhibit dates are Tuesday, June 18, through Tuesday, July 30. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.

Also, as part of the exhibit, all are invited to bring a picture 8 x 10 or smaller that depicts empowered women and girls to help create a Portrait of Empowerment on Saturday, June 22, and Sunday, June 23, between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
