The Tufts University a cappella group S-Factor presents its fall show, “Legacy,” which will celebrating the history, impact and legacy of black people at Tufts in the year of the Africana Center’s 50th anniversary. The efforts of the Africana Center are celebrated in an exhibit at the Tufts Art Galleries, “Student-Facing, Student-Focused,” which is on display at Aidekman Arts Center through December 15.  The 1969 inception of the Africana Center was a catalyst for progressive change on campus that had started in the mid-1950s following the Brown vs. Board of Education decision, amplifying the voices of student-activists who called for improved university-wide support—both for themselves and for their peers.

S-Factor is Tufts’ only all-male a cappella group that specializes in music of the African Diaspora.
