Boston DIY comes together with New York City alt rock tonight at The Porch. Headlining will be Samsara, college kids hailing from Queens and Long Island whose alternative rock sound is melodic, heavy, and ambient all at the same time. They are high energy and magnetic on stage. Also performing will be Women in Peril, a Boston based emo-rock band composed of Berklee students who have coined the term “dog rock” to describe their music, and Makeout Palace, pop punk band formed in Providence.
