The August movie and dinner event at the Medford Senior Center features the 2023 film “The Holdovers,” the comedy/drama that was filmed at many Boston-area locations. Set in 1970, the film stars Paul Giamatti as a strict classics teacher at a New England boarding school who is forced to chaperone a handful of students with nowhere to go on the Christmas break. The film is 2 hours, 13 minutes long. A light dinner of sandwich wraps, salad, beverage and dessert will follow. Attendance at the movie is required to be eligible for dinner.
