The Austin Flute Society invites you to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by learning about Irish culture through music! The AFS is hosting this interactive workshop with Medford Irish flutist Shannon Heaton to bring a new perspective to your flute playing. Shannon will teach a simple Irish tune directly, demonstrate aspects of traditional wood flute style, and teach you how to apply the technique of social and aural learning to other repertoire.
