First Baptist Church of Medford welcomes the mixed chamber ensemble Some Assembly Required for its first Boston-area concert since 2019. The colorful program will include the premiere of “Ten Pentatonic Canons” by composer Nathan Lam and the ensemble’s own arrangement of the second movement of Fauré’s Piano Trio.

Some Assembly Required was founded in early 2015 as a collaborative effort between Boston professional and freelance artists to provide audiences with a unique musical experience, frequently venturing into repertoire that is rarely heard in public performance. Members are pianist Cholong Park, trombonist Justin Croushore and hornist Justin Stanley.

The concert is offered free to the public, with a suggested donation of $10.
