Rakish – guitarist Conor Hearn and violinist Maura Shawn Scanlin – will be playing Irish/Scottish traditional music at Tamper Wednesday Night.  The restaurant will be serving dinner (hamburgers and house-made veggieburgers) from 6 to 9 p.m., with the musicians playing from 7 to 9.

Hearn and Scanlin also are part of the folk quintet Pumpkin Bread, one of the bands in the recent Somerville Porchfest that were highlighted by the Boston Globe, which wrote, “This young folk quintet made a splash with original fiddle tunes and lilting songs at Boston Celtic Music Festival in January. According to its website, the band will be back in the studio this summer for a second album.”
