Legendary Boston soul music champion Skippy White is bringing the first Boston-area performance of The Big Show Sweet Soul Revue to Chevalier Theatre. White, now 87, has dedicated nearly his entire life to supporting soul, blues, and gospel music as a radio personality, record store owner, concert promoter, and producer/manager of local artists. His Big Show will feature a star-studded lineup of seven performers: Russell Thompkins Jr. and The New Stylistics; The Temptations Revue featuring Paul Williams Jr., son of the Temps’ original lead singer; Eddie Holman (“Hey There Lonely Girl”); Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes; The Delfonics; The Manhattans of Sonny Bivins; and The Intruders. Rick Anderson, formerly of radio station WILD, will host. Tickets are $41 to $97 — with limited VIP meet-and-greet packages available for $122 — through the Chevalier Theatre website/Ticketmaster. To avoid online ordering fees, purchase tickets at the Chevalier Theatre Box Office, which is open on Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 6 p.m., as well as two hours before every Chevalier Theatre show.
