Two longtime Boston-area purveyors of melodic punk/garage rock, The Downhauls and Duck & Cover, come to Deep Cuts to celebrate the release of their new split 7-inch EP, “Trash Fest,” coming out on Rum Bar Records on August 6. The new four-song platter convincingly conjures the euphorically unhinged vibe of the annual Trashfest gathering that was held at Somerville’s iconic Abbey Lounge in the mid-2000s. They’ll be joined by rock and rollers CE Skidmore and the Damn Fine Band, and garage/goth punkers Gossip Collar. Doors open at 7 p.m. with music at 8. Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 day of show through Dice.
