Tishler Performance Competition Finals
Monday, November 18 @ 8:00 pm
FreeTufts University students compete for the Elizabeth Verveer Tishler Prize in Music Performance. The Tishler Prize, established in 1984 by Elizabeth Verveer Tishler, is awarded on the basis of a competition, open to all undergraduates except those enrolled in the Tufts-New England Conservatory dual degree program. Performance is limited to classical, jazz, or modern work.
Elizabeth Muriel Verveer Tishler was born in December 1909. She and her husband, Max Tishler, met at Tufts, from which she graduated in 1931. She was an accomplished musician, and the piano had a special place for most of her life.
